You know what? I don't like to talk about this topic for many reasons & think that it's time to break out the real me out for a bit. As a child that loved to have nice time with the family at Christmas time & have some fun with them as well. One of the best things that is going on are the songs that we play in the background to feel more special for the young kids. Yes there is some classic T.V. shows that we all seen like a million time it seems, but it seems that everything that makes this time of the year joyful is being attack for no real reason.
Now I don't seem understand that some people will just attack a seasonal classic for no good reason & claim that it promotes rape or being racist. I just don't seem to understand why they will just make up these accusations out of the blue. For years I have seen many for the classic specials for most of the holidays & found nothing wrong in my mind. I get they think that some of these people may need to get their head looked at. If you ask me I know that we butt heads on this & get nowhere very fast. Will this prove that these crazy Social Justice Warriors are just people that are losers that can't seem to take the world that we all live in. I just hate to see that so many my favorite holiday classic shows that are being labeled something that is not true. One thing that I do know that this is just a waste of my time to even for anyone to talk about, but we are for some odd reason. Now I just wish that some of these fools just let these thing go & move on with your life. Is there a way we can try to see it their way? Well maybe not if you ask me. I just think that these small minded people will just continue to make these crazy claims & will just make fools out of self. All I have to do is just listen to their outlandish views. Then all I have left to do just mock it for being stupid & let them make bigger of themselves by the internet. Just one more thing. If you think that something that is a staple in popculture & it is hurting your feelings. Just don't give it your time & move on with your life. OK just to let everyone know this. I been following Lindsey Stirling for about 9 years & was hoping that she has a stop in Oklahoma City. This just has to be the year that she did & I was able to get a ticket go see her. If you ask me. She has to be one of the best indie artist that I personal follow & highly recommend the you follow her.
What that out of the way. Let's get to that meat of the post & what I think of the show. I not going to give a down to a smallest detail kinda of review. Just what I think about the show in general. So when seen the stage was filled with large presents that made it feel like that she was going for during her tour & all. I thought that it was going be like that thru out the show. Nope I was wrong the props where changed out from to time & you did not always see the props switched out. At times Lindsey did take a small break & share a story about things that happen during the tour or a very personal story that really shows that she is stronger then she looks. I did cry a few times has she was talking & can relate to the pain of the death of a good friend or family member. Their was a bits of the show that was just for fun & laughs in the show that where just a nice touch of humor to get the crowd to crack a smile throw out the show. Some of the bits worked very well on me & I think that it was a great side of Lindsey that we don't see that much of, but I like to see more bits like them in the future tours that she has going for her. Now for the songs that she played. Most of the tracks that was played. They where from her Warmer in the Winter & first albums. Not to say the she was wrong to play them, but I still happy to know that she play a good some of my personal favorite tracks in the line up. The movements of the dancers was just amazing to see on the stage. Wish the the lights quit hitting me in the eyes so I can eyes so I can see the full movement of the dancers, but with that aside. It was a near perfect show. If you ask me I think that Lindsey truly is a talented person that has really change my views on indie musicians & women that can do more then you think. Her music is very powerful. I just wish that see came to Oklahoma City sooner & hopefully one day that I can tell her on how much her music had a impact on me. That maybe a long shot, but I just say "Thank you giving me hope that I never had without her music." |
