With the Supreme Court ruling that Gay marriage is legal. This is not new, but video games, comic books & movies have been doing this kind of stuff for years now. As a straight man. Fully support any from of human rights that makes anybody happy.

This has been going on for a bit now & I think that I need to rant about this massive outraged that like half of YouTube is throwing a fit about. Back in the 80's there was a cartoon called "Jem & the Holograms." It was mostly for girls, but boys (like me) will secretly watched it.
I don't remember much about it, but I think it was a show about a girl band & one of them had a pair of magic ear rings than transforms her into Jem. Other then that I just don't remember much about it. Maybe because that I never was a diehard fan of the show or just fully forgot about it. The major backlash that the movie trailer is the best reason that mess with a perfect show that has a big group of diehard fans. The first thing is they took out Synergy. Which is the computer that can project life like holograms that could fool anyone. There is a small mention of Synergy, but was not seen in the trailer. The second problem is Shana is white. Now for what I found out. Shana is African & had an purple afro in the show. Now why she is white? You got me on that. Third & finally Who are going up against? I remember that there was a rival girl band called "The Misfits" & another band called "The Stingers." Which are missing in the trailer. It's the day after E3 & now the big question must be asked. "Will any of the games that was at E3 live of to the hype that the developers keep the hype that there produces clam that they have. At times some games will be come the next big thing, but others will just be forgotten.
At times I can understand that if a game falls short on what we all expected, but we truly tell if a game is good to be any good till we get our hands on it & pay it till we beat it. So we can really be to judge mental on something that isn't fully out. With all the press conferences over with & many people will decide on who was the best showing of games. Now we have are favorite system or company that we choose to Aline ourselves with at anytime that we feel like.
Companies like Sony & Microsoft are mostly talk about there exclusive tiles that they have & make it feel like you need to play there games as soon as they hit the stores shelves. Now I now many of you feel about the same way that I do on many things that happen in E3. So here is what I think each of the conferences. If you ask if about what I think of the first ever Bethesda E3 conference. I would of said "It was awesome." With the way that they started the show. It looked like that the first thing was going to talk about Fallout 4, but they start the DOOM.
I was shock that how good looking that DOOM looked & see on what had changed since the last game. The only thing that going thru my is can gamers that grow up on DOOM reconnect with this had fallen franchise. With many game had fallen before & rise after a good reboot. If it takes a good installment to get back on track. Then I hope that this is the on to do so. The next game that was up is Battle Cry. To me this game looks like a Team Fortress stye game play. The art style looks very cool cell shaded. Combat looks OK it best, but was just a few things it I can see from the trailer. A trailer for Dishonored 2 was shown and a Definitive Edition was announced for Dishonored. It will ship with all the DLC for the game. A few changes are new magic tricks & a new character to play as or you can play as the original charactor if you choose to so. A few new things for The Elder Scrolls franchise. More content for The Elder Scrolls Online. A card game was announced & it seems to be a great way to introduce many new people to The Elder Scrolls universe. I just hope that this is not a over price card game with weak promises. The last thing that they showed off was Fallout 4. This game is 4years in the making & I hope that it's worth the wait. It's a straight forward game that we expect for a RPG style game that we can think of. You got customize character, weapons, power suit & resource at you will to make anything you going to need. The looks awesome & can't wait till it comes out in November. Went to see Jurassic world yesterday & I'm feeling the awesomeness that it was. After the credits was over I was very satisfied with the way the movie was moving. It felt very smooth at times, but times it felt slow at a few spots. There are some throw backs to the first film that was nice to see.
This movie was worth the long wait the we had to wait for. There are now rumors for a sequel & reports on the big opening weekend. The best is ahead of us for this franchise & I'll be there to see it. Over all I give the movie 8.1 out of 10. This coming Friday marks the return of a movie franchise that I grow up on in the 1990's & boy this better be wroth the long wait. If you can't tell by the tile. I'm talking about Jurassic World. The long awaited squeal to Jurassic Park III.
Most of this past weekend I thought it would be nice to all 3 of the Jurassic Park films & see if I can still remember them. Boy did I never. At first look it dose seem a bit dated, because of the computers & some of the vehicles that you see in the movies. I'm not saying that is a bad thing. You guys can say what ever about the CGI in the films, but the way that I see it is still the way that I remember them. The only thing that I fear the most is that it will disappoint me to a point that is just a big cash in. The times I heard anything about this new installment I was very septic at the most at times, But since the first trailer was put out in February. Then I was very happy to see what they did with there time with project. All that I need to do now is to see the film. Do you remember any your favorite T.V. shows as a child or one that is still showing up on the air? I remember a lot of shows that I grow up on & been trying to see if I can find them on DVD for some time with little luck.
Now days you can just fire up your computers or consoles to enjoy your favorite show again with sites like Hulu & Netflix out there. To me this can really change the way we see our classic shows that is still a part of your childhood & them to my family on what I grow up on as a kid. Now just to let everyone know that I'm using Hulu. Some of the shows that I grow up on our there. Like X-files, Spiderman, X Men, Galaxy Ranger, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z & many more that I remember. Plus a lot more shows that I never ever heard of. Is Hulu wroth the price that you pay for? Yes it is. It's only $8 a month for their premium service. Netflix I think it's like $8 to $11 for the packages. You get both S.D. & H.D. programing for Hulu, But you got to pay more for the H.D. upgrade on Netflix. Thought I tell you guys before you get "Sticker Shock" & yell at me. For many years now. The internet have been posting rumors on that Bethesda has been hard at making the next installment of the Fallout series. Yesterday there was a strange counter that looked liked something it come from the world of Fallout. With many hoaxes & dirty ticks on the internet. I was never going to buy into this one till it was officially the real deal.
Since now that Fallout 4 is real & know what systems that it would be on. The big question in now "Will it be any good?" We all know that "The longer it takes to make a game. The better it would be." Before you get angry. Just remember Duke Nukem Forever that game took a long time to make & then bombed liked no other game before it. Now I'm not saying that Fallout 4 will be a failure for taking too long to come out, but it's unlikely that somepeople will be happy that a new Fallout is for real & other would of just moved on with some hope that it was worth the long wait for Fallout 4. To me this is a great time to try out this franchise that I've never tried out. Today marks a new journey for me this will be my blog all things that pop culture has to offer us all. I will from time to time will post my thoughts on everything that comes to me on that comes to me.
I can tell you one thing. This will be fun for the both of us. Thru this site I can hope that we can have some fun thru this. So see you around. |
