Are reboots & remakes good or bad?

You know the one thing that really hate is that the way that video game & movie industries are doing is that everything seems to be lacking a original ideas. For that last few years there been a heavy push to reboot or remake an classic game or movie.

Now I do see on why that some studios seem to this & it dose have a mixed record say the least. I may be in the minority on this topic, but I think that it's nice to give my take on the subject. I'm not to big not have a flawless movie getting a remake or reboot for many reasons. I think that a film that did it right the first time just needs to left alone & get the love that is deserves.

I do understand that we would like to see that what a classic film in modern bells & whistles comes with great success, but it well not always go over that well. There is a lot remakes that did very well & some did not do very good at all.

There is a long list of movies that been rebooted & remade that I know that I have seen. I wish that I can give you a good throw a list of them all, but I'm not saying on which films that I seen that where a remake or reboot. It's hard to tell if the film a original or not. So I wish that I can tell you the differences from the original & the remake or reboot that followed years later.

As for video games. They to are a bit mixed as well. Now I see that most of the problem is that they try to reinvent the whole series & think that games will love it for the way that it trying to completely change the world that we loved to explore in.

I mean if the game series been dead for a long time & we forgot about. Then I can see that we may like to see it in a different tone & design. At first glace I may not like that redesign & world that it take place in, I will try to be open minded till I get a chase to play it for myself.

There been a few series that did a soft reboot & did some good for franchise. Now for some reasons that I can't seem to get at times. Sometimes a reboot dose get a tons of hate & company dose like to pretend that it never happened is nice to that they where wrong to reboot it in the first place,

Now I can say that there was been one good reboot that I like to talk about that was a dying franchise that did very well. That is the Tomb Raider series. It did go thru a soft reboot & did some good for the franchise. Then years later it gone thru a full out reboot that change the way that we see Lara Croft.

I do have hope that not everything that I like well ever be rebooted & remake. I just wish that I can see a brighter day for all the great movies & video games. I can say that a remake can be done right if somebody is not rushing it out to make a quick buck. I think that a original idea is a safer road then a revised classic.

Contemp Con 2018 review.

You know one of the best things about going to new conventions is that you can see great new artist & see their work. This past weekend I did just that. I head about this convention from one of my friends on Facebook & thought it would be nice to try out.

I was just amazed to see that a small place that I never been to. Can have such a great event. From what I can tell about the place was. It's an art gallery that has its own small theater built into the building. Witch is nice to have in case there is a movie being shown there.

The thing that I had to ask myself is where going to be some different kinds of artist & artwork there that I was going to like. Yeah there was a lot of great new artist that I have not seem let & was happy to go there to check them out.

It was a free event to go. Luck for me that I got to see the great event with my eyes. I really think that if more small events like this do have free or low cost events. I think that they can go on for a long time.

The only thing that I did not really about the event was the way that the building is designed. Not every hallway where as opened as I thought, So at times that I was in a rush to get from one part of the building to another part was as easy as it looked on the map.

I was still happy that I had gone to the event this year & hope that it dose come back next year for some more fun. With all the things that you can do their was a good event for the whole family. I did see a lot young teen to adults there. Which is about the range for most of the convention that I been going to, but it was nice to that it was a nice family friendly that is enjoyed by everyone.

The death of Bully Hunters.

Well I wish that I call the death of this Bully Hunter group, I didn't expect it to die off so quickly. Now to far about their movement & all. I just hate to see that a good idea that can & will be abused for ones stupid motives.

Now I bit mean to them & think that this was not the way to end a major problem. With so many gamer that are dealing with harassment both in the real world & online. Which both are not cool at all. We need to stop picking on those that are not that thick skin like me.

In my personal opinion. I think that the Bully Hunters where trying to do some good & try to scam us with the clams that was made, but I still think that if they would if tried to be a group of advocates to end the harassment online. Then I could be more in favor of the group & their cause.

The way that they promote themselves & their service was a bit questioned to me. I think that a fool can see that it was a mess of a show & did not impress me at all. Things like this is needed, but not to be for profit at all.

If you can see the the fact that this was a scam & didn't fall for any thing that then where selling to you. I applauded you for your action for standing up for the truth. We need to put pressure on those that are not being truth full their customers & make those that think the they can get away with their lies.

With all that said. I do think that we can try to make the community better if we quit thinking that all the mediums are only for men & women are not allowed in their little groups. I think that everyone is welcome to join my groups & never have to fear for their lives.

Killing a Bully Hunter.

This past Thursday. There was alive stream of a new way to stop online harassment & it was a poor way to start this great now idea. I did see the stream after the event was over with & I was just sick to see on how stupid the set looked. The so called "Experts" that seem to be just some actors that they just picked off the street.

Now the video of the stream that I watch was bit spotted & I may of missed a few thing that was red flags that didn't see. So I do feel that I may not of see everything, but I did see a lot thing that I didn't see at first.

One of the things that I don't see at first was the so casual gamers where not even playing games on the set. They where just acting in front of the screen & not playing at all. The crowd of people that where just bored out of there mind. The lack of energy of the hosts & guest that was in the stream. A sick way to market a headset.

There was page on a site that I got yesterday & I took a quick look at & at seems to me that this is a scam that is not going to have any effect to the online harassment for any one that there claiming to help.

I do think that information that was given to us for there own gain. There is no real up to date that is very reliable to match the real world numbers. Now question a few thing that is in the page. The thing that I think is a biggest thing that I tell that this is a big scam that plainly see. If one person has many names that are in the stream at once. Then you got a big red flag that a scam is being promoted.

There is a that I will link to the page that I looked at & like you deiced that on how bad this can do to the people that think that we don't see the real operation that there running here. I do think that this is just a way to make a quick buck & then run with are money.

With so much that any person that watched the stream. Can see that most of the video that I have seen that this was a bad idea with a major backlash & most of the sponsors did back out of the project. There has major talk about this on YouTube & most of them are against the idea.

To be fair. I did take a look on their Twitch page & the video of the stream is gone from there page. It is on YouTube & I was lucky to see it on YouTube. I just hope that this is not the last time that we hear from.

Chaos in Twin Galaxies.

For a few months now I been following a lot stories from YouTube & Twin Galaxies own site. That one of Billy Mitchell's scores is in question for many reasons. The big question is did he use MAME or an original arcade to get on one of his high scores?

I did see the Documentary that the high score was made on, but I also see that the score did jump up a bit on the screen. Now I did question that tape that had the score on it & don't think it was a solid run of the game. For some odd reason it was an official score & put in the record books.

Since then the score has been slowly moved down the ladder, many more people had set records of there own, A change of ownership & a few records been whipped away from the books. When I heard of all this I got a bit more interested in what in going on.

Now can't be fully for sure what is going on at Twin Galaxies. Other then what they post on the forums, but I think that this issue is going to have major changes in the future of their record keeping. I like that there is a steady flow of updates to the investigation on Twin Galaxies' side of things & not too much or nothing at all.

One of the things that did get my eyes was a articular on Twin Galaxies website said that a YouTube was being sued for wire tapping that never happen & sunk into a public event dressed as Billy Michell. Since then it was edited to be more neutral & less one sided.

In my personal opinion I think that Twin Galaxies has a big mess on their hands that was left before the new owner can fully get a grip on the massive clams that people seen to point out. Now I try not to make a quick judgement on these kind of things, but if all the cards point against a person's clam. I just have to expect the truth.

The thing that I hate to do is. Liking a person for the great achievements & then find out that they cheated to get the big prize in the end. This is why I think we need to have more live score then a tape that magical comes to a event & that tape was found to faked.

I guess that real heroes are very rare indeed.

The Sandlot 25 years Later.

If there was ever a great time for movies in the 90's. There a very few that will always have a small place in the hearts of kids. One of those movies that I seen in the theaters was The Sandlot. It was one of these great movies that really that the whole family can enjoy & quote some of the best one liners that movies had to give at the time.

I'm going to say that this movie is truly a great film that really holds up. Even in today's craziness that we see a lot in the world. The story is about a group of kids that love to play baseball & only one of them becomes a professional player.

Most of the story is them getting into crazy situations & them getting out of it with some great comedy in it. There are small arks in the movie that seems to fit the feel of the film just right. Like a Hot day at the pool & one of the kids kissing a lifeguard, Playing a rival team to a game of baseball, Play a game that is lighted up by fireworks at night & best ark of the movie is trying to get a ball back that is signed by Babe Ruth himself.

The biggest question is this. Does this film hold up today. The answer to me is yes it does. This is one the best film that I ever seen. Now some arks to me is just odd to see by today's standards, but I'm will to let it go for many reasons.

I do think that I can't not recommend this film. Some of the jokes & insults that are in here are still some of the best in any movie. The movie is set in the 1960's & did feel like a true story kind of movie, but it is not. So if like to watch a great family film that is a true classic film. I think that this the one for you.

Yes I know that there is a sequel to this movie, but I personal have not seen it at all. So don't roast me on that OK.

The teacher walkout.

One of the biggest new story that was talked about in the news yesterday was the teacher walk out here in Oklahoma (as well in Kentucky). I seem to understand why that the teachers had to go to the state capital just to make their point to the lawmakers.

I just got tired to hear that the schools need more money to just keep the few good teachers that we currently have right now. Most of the problem is the fact that some politics think that we can do more with less in the classroom & expect to produce the greatest rocket scientist right out of high school. I don't think that is ever going to happen.

This kind of thinking is never going to work in the way that seems to me. We got to stop finding ways to give any child cheap & out dated methods in this highly technology world that we live in. I just can't see a child in my state. Not have a high quality education in this day & age.

We can't just keep kicking the can & in future that the school systems are just broken beyond repair. This one of the worst things that a person can see happening. I'm been very unhappy that most states are in much better shape that the ones here in Oklahoma.

The one thing that I hate to know is that I think that I well have a better education then the generation that came after me. With that out the way. I'm still sick of hearing that schools need more founding & they still don't get it. Even if the state lawmakers say that they will give them more money to them. Then they will never see it thought.

I'm to a point that I don't seem to care about anything that a lawmaker say. We all know that they don't care about the little guy in this country. So I guess that their word is just a lie no matter what they say to us. There is just so many broken promises that we can't trust them at all.
