For the first time ever I really think that Oklahoma City is getting a few events that it really needs to have to make it a better place. Now this is the first time that we ever had a Comic Con like event in Oklahoma. I not going to say that we more events like this, but it seem to me that we are having too high expectation for like Comic Con.
I know that I was waiting for something like this, but not hearing a word about this event was its downfall. There was a good sized crowd in the Cox Center on the day that I was there. The way that some of the vendors were just over spaced for too big ales which made it seem bigger. At times there was a small spot or two that did had a s
The exhibitors that had a lot of great amount of comics, shirts, bags, toys & many other stuff for sale. The thing that shocked me the most was the artist who were showing off there great artwork. Some of artist did have there own comic books there to buy.
There was a few great comic book creators there as well. Like Greg Capullo, Rob Liefeld, Kevin Eastman & others that were there. I was happy to meet Kevin Eastman for the reason of that he & Peter Laird are the creators of Teenage Mutated Ninja Turtles. Plus he did a panel on the history of the the Teenage Mutated Ninja Turtles comics, movies & few other things that he is working on
Over all it was a bit of a let down a few things that was there, but I hope that in a few years that Amazing Comic Con can be better then ever. I hope that it will return to Oklahoma City so that I can see all the great comic books that I know are out there to see. In the end I hope to again next year.
