Now I do know that there was a big crash in the 1990's & the comic book is now ding OK at best, but I do see the numbers from the amount that is shipped each month's end. Some of them look good & others don't seem to like as good.
At times I do hear that Marvel does force the disturber to over ship their comic for no real gain in my mind. but who will ever call them out on that? As now I don't see anyone doing that for now. I do see a bit of a problem with stunts like that & it needs to stop.
I know that this has been said a lot of times & it seems that nobody seems to care about this saying, but "If it not selling copies out the door & making you customers happy to read your comics with very issue that you put out. Then quit going that way."
There is just too many times that I will see a comic that is selling out like crazy & other are just sitting on a rack for weeks after their release date. To this shows that their are some many missteps that is just killing a great industry. I try to think that a small miscalculation can't hurt a great company for a long period & they will be back on their feet.
Well not in this case. If you keep repeating the same mistakes over & over again. Then your going to start to feel the heat of the fans & hit in the pocket in the long run. Plus a lot people will be out of a job for going along with all the ideas that cost them.
I don't think that any company will get hit the hardest. Unless they are forced to close their doors for good & the staff can't find any other work that will take them in for some work. The thing that I just don't like to see for anyone is force to do. Is to have a false hope in anything that can kill their career & be looked as a failure for a long time.
Not to be a jerk about this next part. I don't think that there is a lot of over sight on most of these stories that we are getting in most of the comics nowadays. It's just the same junk that we don't care about in these stories that are being pushed on us.
To me. If we have another comic book crash. The only people that I will fell the most sorry for if it dose happen are the the comic book shop owners. The reason why is this. They are the ones that will be out of luck the most. I will have little remorse for the writers, inkers, artist & other people that work hard to tell a good story in comic, but not those that driven a good industry in their graves. Those fools can look at their mishaps & fade away into wind for all I care.
Us fans need to be a force to heard now, We can save what we love by speaking up & tell the people at the top of these companies. That we don't like any of the stuff that your putting out & you need to quit marking your comics to the smallest piece of the pie.
We all know that it may not happen, but it will pay off if we all just try it out & see what will happen. I just see a healthy industry that offers a great deal of opportunity to any one that get the skills to make me say "Wow this is a great comic book that I got here." & will make me want to show it to all of my friends.
You all may think that I don't care about the comic book industry at all, but I really. I think that we can see eye to eye on a few things here & can agree that change is needs to come quickly. Before a major crash dose kill this industry for good.
