It seems that the movement know as "Comic Gate." Seems to me that there is a major rifted within the comic book industry that was been slowly dying the last few years. I'm sick of hearing that any good comic that sounds like that I may try to check out, but somebody will not like the fact that it may hurt their feelings.
Now this past weekend. I found out that a YouTube channel that I follow & think that you may like to check out. One of the main faces on the channel. She did a comic that looks very nice to check out for anyone that is into the theme. I will give you a link to buy it. If you like.
After that I seen both videos that she did on Comics Gate. I was a bit sadden to hear that a great looking book is not going to be sold. Do the fact that her politics & that she anger feminist, because she not fall in line with their ides.
If this is how artist treated other artist in the comic industry. Then I don't think that any living human being. Needs to be treated like that anywhere. I'm just tired to hear that a nice person is black listed for putting out good work that is better then the shit that is out right now.
There is just too many fools that think that they can do no wrong & everything is fine in the company that is failing, In the indie world. That seems to be doing very well right now, I do see a lot of indie projects in the conventions that I go to. If the indie seem is doing a whole lot better then the big name companies & that is not a good sign if you ask me.
After seeing some many reboots to a lot of these comic books in the past few years. I been thinking that there is little to no faith in any of the current status of the industry. There was a point that I was happy that comics have amazing stories in them, but not as much as of now.
I do like to see any great story & artwork in a good comic. You can't tell anyone on how to make a good story for any reason. I just know that we all can enjoy the writer's take on things in the way that the story is told.
The things that I hate is the most is when you feel a part of the plot of a story is forced in the story & don't feels right about it. I just think that most stories are just pushing junk that is not fit the characters that are in the story.
So I wish that everyone that is in the comic book industry the best of luck in their project & future endeavors.
