Before I talk about a stupid article that has been talked about on YouTube & shared online. I like to tell you some of my history that I have with anime. I think that first encounter anime was in the late 1980's. I don't remember the name of the anime, but it was an action/ mech type of anime that I still can't recall the name to. Then came other like Dragon Ball, Gundam, Outlaw Star & many more.
I seen a lot of historical references to some of both the characters & real events that are in some of the anime that I have seem over the years. I never seem get me up in arms to boycott the show that I found out who the person is suppose to be modeled after in the real world. That really didn't really change any views on the anime that I have seen before know the facts of the show.
Now let's get to this article that is just trash to the rim of lies. Now I had to read the article to get to the fullest range possible to get the heart of the talking points & it dose a poor explaining the issues of the so call "FASCISM" that I have seem in the anime on the list that I have seen. Must of them are a Military themed anime & you my get a some taste of Fascism in the story, but don't think about at all.
To be nice about the writer & think that we may see some kind of command ground on this topic with some kind of luck on my end of the line. Hopefully we can be friends in a nice conversation on a very hot topic like this one. I haven't seem all the anime that are on the list, but I think that most of them that are named do have a stronger push for Fascism then the ones that I already seen. I can't be for shore on that. So don't hold me to that.
As I was reading the article I did see that Food Wars was on the list & don't seem to know why it was on this list. Now I have seen this anime & its a good one to watch. As I seeing way it made the list I do recall that in the third season a new person did take over the school & set a one standard for all the young cooks in training.
I don't think much about some themes that we get in anime or any other show that I watch these day, because I only care about the fact did I like it or not. To me this is just a person that is seeing a show that I like very much & enjoying the story that it has in it, but they may see something that I don't see in it or understand why they don't like it at all.
Now I do hate to defend the anime for that I have seem & are on the list, but I no choice to do so. I'm shocked that some of the best anime that I have ever seen are being labeled as Fascist & there is not a lot to support it. I still think that it's not strong case that I see against it in the end. I hate to say that there is nothing that promotes fascism in any of the anime that I have seen in my life.
Could the writer just be seeing something that we are not seeing? Is the writer in the right to mark any thing that they don't like as some kind of propaganda. I don't care about that. If it was any kind of propaganda or not. The only thing that I care is if it was any good or not.
With that said. I going to fine me some anime & enjoy watching it.
