I was able to get my dad to come with me & let me see all the things that I normally see at all the conventions for once. He was shocked to see some of the people there dressed up as their favorite character & most of them where very well done. I was tell him that you have nothing yet. I've seen a few time that a few cosplayers. Have been know to put in a lot of time & money in to their costumes.
Now this was the biggest changes that I have to get out. As my dad I got to the library. We seen a few "Road Closed" signs that where up blocking streets that we passed on the way. We found a parking spot. got out to go into the library & later found out that they had to expand the event into two other buildings. Just to fit everything that they needed to get into the event.
At that point I just know that this was going to be a event. They had their panels, some video game tournaments, contest & special events in the area of the library that it was last year. They had drawing events, diy clay magnets & LexiCon shirts at a local art center. Finally the vendors, anime viewings, table top gaming, photo ops & artiest ally was in a community center.
I was very happy to see that this small event from last year. Grow so much this year. I was just so amazed that this event was put together very well. I know that it was going to be a much bigger this year, but don't know on how much bigger it will get. The level commitment to this year. Must of been a big one to pull it off without a problem.
Over all I think that Lexicon will have a bright future in the next few years. If they can keep up the good vendors & events that will be going on there for the next year's showing. I really just can't stop thinking about what will going on for years after that,
