You when I heard that that their was going to be a book festival in my part of the state. I has very optimistic at first. I didn't seem to care about it at first & then seen that it was free to go there. After seeing the line up of authors & guest that was going to be there. I slowly change my mind rather to go or not. Man talk about a great event.
The level of interdependent authors. publishers & writers was just amazing to hear what their books are about & what kind of genre they are. Most of them where not my cup of tea, but still nice to know that kind of authors where there to sell their books.
Now this was the first time that I gone to an event that was fully outside & think that we need more of them. I was happy that there was some much that I can see their other than look at nothing but books. There was some panels that had authors talk about the topics of their books & other things that had to do with the industry.
I was able to see that they did have a kids area for those that had there kids with them & a good deal of actives for them to do there. they also had a choice of food trucks at the west end. I just just took a quick look at them & seem that they know how to have a wide selection of types of food trucks to get to show up.
One thing that is keep this from being an perfect event that was the we got some a lot of rain for the last few weeks the ground was still solid & a few puddles water was still present at a few spots, but it didn't seem to hurt the event to bad. I did love that tents where set up to give some set up some shade to relax & enjoy a panel.
All in all I think that this was a nice first time event to go to & enjoy some nice books that we didn't know about. I just can't wait for next years. Maybe I could buy a book or two at the next book festival that we will have.
