Now there was a YouTuber that was going to cover GenCon name Jeremy that runs a channel called "The Quartering" & another channel as well. Most of his stuff that he talks about on his other channel is Magic the gathering & stuff that is related to it, but on The Quartering he talks about news stories that he likes to talk about.
On August 2 he was at a bar & talking to fans that follow him. He was having a great time till a man came up to him & ask is his name Jeremy. He said yes & was going to shake the man's hand. As he was doing so. The man just grab his shirt & attacked Jeremy for no real reason. There was about 4 other people that was with Jeremy & was able to him into the bar. The attacker was mad that Jeremy had got lose & was safe from him.
As most of you can ask yourself "Why did this guy just attack Jeremy?" I can tell you that the person in question. Is a big supporter of Anita Sarkeesian & he didn't like the fact that Jeremy was a critic of her opinions. Plus Jeremy was not very happy to see that she was coming to GenCon as a guest of honor.
Now is there some kind of connection between the fact a random person attacks Jeremy & that Anita was going to be at GenCon. This sounds like it, but I think that it was just fluke that the attack did happen & now their is a bigger problem that we will have to mess with in the future.
I do think that this was politically motivated. Do the fact Jeremy is a very neutral person & all, but he does dislike both sides of the political spectrum. He don't like ideas that force us to think like these fools & has not call for blood on the streets.
Jeremy has been very vocal about the things that he talk about in his video & active in the for call for better judges in the Magic the Gathering community for some time now. As a person that don't play some kind of card games. I think that is a good way to call out bad practice that needs to stop.
There is just one more thing that I like to point out. Jeremy has been called left wing, right wing, Nazi & many other names. I think that the only thing that I think we should call him is a Friend. That is the only thing that I will call ever call Jeremy,
