At times I really don't care about a reboot because most of them seem to be a mix bag of hope with me & with the history of reboots also being mixed. Some where good & others was bad.
Now I been looking at the pictures that have released & some people are not very happy at the design of some of the characters that are in the show. With that said I do get that most people are not happy with the look of the characters that seem to be a bit off to those that know what the characters should look like in the first.
You can think that I will hate the new look of series & be bashing it for She-ra looking too much like a man, but your wrong. The main issue that I see is that if you see a woman that looks like a man then & say that kids are going to like this. If kids see that the woman looks like a man. Then you have a problem that you need to address.
I been hearing a lot a views on this, but I can't fully think one way or the other on this topic, but do think that the problem is that making a woman look like a man is not a good idea. If you make kids think that's OK for a woman to dress as a man. Then the parents are going to have to explain their kids why that a woman is dressed as a man. Then they have to watch the show with their kids to see if there fears to worst then what they think it is.
Now I'm not going to watch the show because I don't have a Netflix account to watch it, but I do have a family that do have one that I may try to see it & give it a try. Now I will try to watch the original series to compare the shows & see if I think that the backlash is really needed.
After see a few videos & what there stance is on topic & not fully agreeing on their stance. I do see their views. I can can't seem to understand why that She-ra looks like a man in a dress is not a good design for a kids cartoon that will point it out as that.
I just like a man to look like a man & a woman to look like a woman. That should be the only thing that I need to say. If you have to disagree with me. That is fine with me. I like to here more on this topic without getting into a fight.
With all that said. I do think that this is a bad idea that may fail in the long run, but I can be wrong. So this may be successful in the end. This is just my opinion on this so I don't care if this get a second season or not & if it gets a loyal fan base after this.
