I didn't start getting into comics till 2015 & think that its a has a great community in its self that is very to new comers like me, but there is a few people that can make it a very toxic place to love. I'm saying that I don't like these people & wish them harm. I just wish that they quit spitting out hate to there fans & calling them names.
There is a lot that I can learn for those that know a lot more about comics & know witch writers have the best stories to tell. I can't wait to see with great stories & worlds that I will enjoy in the long run. With so much too try out in the world of comics I can see many with great artwork as well.
Now for that past few years that I have been seeing a big push on changing some of the big named characters that I liked as child & that is saying a lot from me. Now I do try to be far on new interpretation of a character that may sound good at first, but will it last for a longer time the original design of the character? I mean some of the changes lasted for far to long then what then had to be.
So I guess that we so of the characters that got switched for no real reason to begin with. Other than the publisher forced the change to meet a diverse check list of some kind to please everyone all at once. Now I just hate to see a classic character just get a sex or race change that makes it look like the worst ideas ever.
Personal I think that it's a bad idea to mess with a great iconic character that has been the same for decades & is loved by countless amount of fans. I can take small changes, but not huge massage ones that make them look like a new character to many of there fans.
Now you can change their origins a bit to be in the modern times, but it has to be a good change that feels right to the character & don't feel cheap to the fans. With that said I have seen that a changes that can kill your brand for a lot of fans that kill any hope for anyone that like to have in their comics.
Just to open about this part that I don't personal dislike the most of changing to a great characters is their sexual orientations, terms, definitions or what ever else that can come up with & force the fans that love the characters to believe that they been like that for years.
At times I just wish that we all can have the real character that we all fall in loved with as a kid. It really hurts to see a fun character that we like to meet in person one day & some day to dressed up as them to show off there hard work on making the costume of that character.
To me most of the time I hate to see anyone personal politics in their work & just makes me sick to my stomach that we are forced to read a garbage book that is not action pack with great writing that we will love forever.
Now we got a political comic book with the characters that we grew up with. Most of these books have so bad writing in them that the writer keeps on working on other projects to make them look like rock star do to their politics.
I know that I'm sounding like a I hate the writing, but some of the art styes that are in them are just as bad. Now I can see if it's a young person that is trying to step up their game to match some of the best artist in the business, but not veteran that been do this years. If the art style is not so bad that it feels the world that it's in. Then I think that the art has a cool feel to it.
The only things that I like to see in my comics are good stories, art work & characters that make me like to collect all the issues in the series of the comic, but with so many fools that have to change the way that we enjoy comic books these days.
