The giant know as Disney has officially taken over 21st Century Fox & got a lot more powerful in the end of the merger as well. For the last year I was not a fan of this deal. It was just a way for Disney to get their hands on a few things that have been trying for years, but with no real success on their end of the deal.
I was hoping that their was going to be a last moment that a government intervention will kill the deal, but that never happen at all. I guess that some parts of the world that don't see the fact that Disney is trying to buy all the companies for their own profit & don't mind it at all.
Now I mind that any companies joining up to make a bigger & better ones, but if a big company buys a smaller one just to get there hands on properties that been looting them for a long time. It shows that a company is just greedy & don't care about the fan base at all. They just wont the money & nothing more.
To me. If Disney like to eat the Fox cake that looked nice for years to us fans. They can just destroy it was well. As for now, I will just let the IP the Fox made over the years go to other studios & see they can make better movies the what Disney has been making for the past few year.
All that Disney has been doing for the most of the past few years is just doing a live action remakes of their past films. Some of them have been good, but others have not. To me this is not a good sign of a great company. I get the point on their goals, but can't understand the why there doing it.
I hate to see a fat cat get fatter. I think that we need to put this cat on a diet for a few years & see if they really do slim down a bit?
