When the panelist started to talk about the "ME TOO" movement. It was clear to me that they where not going to make me happy at all. Some of the panelist did throw out the term "Toxic Masculinity" a few times just to show that what there truly stand on this issue. At times I was thinking that I can't just believe that we have to blame Toxic Masculinity & the fact that all men are beast in the skin of a human.
Now I did try to a question very early on to the panelist, but in got nowhere fast. All they did was danced around it. The question was "How do some people like Anita Sarkeesian can try to change the official definition of a few words like rape, assault & harassment. As well attack her critics for just disagreeing with Carl Benjamin at Vidcon 2017."
So what did next was to let the panelist on with the topic & lesion to what they had to say. I did stay to the end of the panel ask a other question. The question was "Should we fully trust all claims of the victim. Even without a police report, don't have any proof that the event took place or is just flat out lying about the whole thing?"
The reason that I ask that question was just to see if they will show any sympathy to anybody that been throw in jail for the wrong reasons & lost some of their life when in prison. Man I wrong about that. Some of the answers felt a defensive as if I was attacking them for being lairs or something. To be fair to them. I was not calling them lairs at anytime of the panel. I was just sitting down & hearing there views on the topic the whole time.
When it was over with I headed to the panel that I like to go to & enjoy that one. Not 20 minutes in the panel I was ask to come with gentle man & fallow him another part of the area of the convention & was the approach by a large woman that told me that I had to leave.
At this point I was try to keep emotions in check by not doing anything stupid. She told that I made comments that made a few of the panelist that was on the "Me Too" panel. I was also told that SoonerCon is a "Safe Space."
For a brief moment I was just sick to hear that a event like this would ever think that it's a nice place to come & have fun at. Will ever be call that in the first place. I ask to speak to the people that made the claims, but just ran like the little kids that they are. So I ask to see there claims & it was just a full out hit on me.
I took a look & was confused that I just in the worst mindset till left the building. The gentle men told me to come with him early on told that he is one of the head personal that runs the event & ask if I like to file a complaint against them & I did. At that point I couldn't very well do to the stress of the claims that where against me at the time.
So I did an audio statement & talk to the head guy for a bit. He did well be back for next year's event. I guess that you can call that a win for me. When I was giving my statement I did say that I Autistic & trying my best to keep my cool when the claims where came to my knowledge. The man told me that he sorry for what I had to go throw & that they will look at there policies to make shore that in the nobody can make false statements against anyone.
I'm planing on to go to go to SoonerCon next year, but if the people that made the claims against me still making false statements that are damaging to my reputation for there gains. Then I may think about on not continue to go to SoonerCon.
One more thing. Don't message or send them hate of any kind. I will be working with them on to improve there image on this problem. I'll like to help them out to make the event a highly respected event that we all like to come back to every year & have some as well.
