What is killing good Anime or Video game adaptation?

Every time that a anime gets the Hollywood treatment there is so many things that can hurt the development of the process. Like the script, actors, director, cost or any little thing the character's background/story. I never been the one to make a big fuss about a minor change to the story, but a major detail that they forgot or change for some stupid reason is a strong point out.

Case in point "Why the hell did they took out the Fatalities in the Mortal Kombat films?" I know that  Mortal Kombat was a good film, but I still have a point on this issue. I thinking taking a key point something that made it stand out or different don't do them any favors at all. Even as a hardcore Mortal Kombat fan. I thought the first one was great, but the second one was just trash to begin with. Now with talks of a reboot that gone cold for the past few years. I still gone some hope, but very little as of right now.

Akria has in development hell for about 15 years. It had many scripts rewrites & directors where attached to the project & nothing has been done with it at all. There was an article from IGN that covered the little to no progress in the development of the live action adaptation of Akria. Man talk about a lump of dead weight the Warner Bros have to deal with. I just watch the original version a few more time to see it on my T.V.

I'm not saying that Hollywood should just make something up & put it o the screen. The need to leave a prefect masterpiece alone. So the we can enjoy real work & not some quick money grab the someone else worked so hard to make. I don't like it when a people don't understand on what made the original a icon in it's place in history.
